Rakesh Thakur

Group Chief Financial Officer

Rakesh Thakur is the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He has been associated with our Company since September 01, 2023 and has been appointed as the Group Chief Financial Officer from December 12, 2023. He is responsible for overall finance functions of our Company. He is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has been honored with a Certificate of Leadership Competencies from IIM Ahmedabad.

He has over 20 years of experience and has been responsible for P&L management, listed entity management, Business Partnering, Business Restructuring, Supply Chain & IT transformation including SAP implementation. He has co-led large restructurings, mergers & integrations, realized synergies across value chain, anchored IT and Supply Chain transformation, co-led large cost savings program and unlocked value in supply chain eco-system.

Before joining us he was Head - Supply Chain Finance at Hindustan Unilever Ltd (India and South Asia) where he was responsible for overall South Asia, Supply Chain Finance. Prior to that he has been associated with GSK Consumer Healthcare, Samsung India & PepsiCo India Region.

Dhara Joshi

Company Secretary and the Compliance Officer

Dhara Joshi is the Company Secretary and the Compliance Officer of our Company. She is also the legal counsel of our Company. She is responsible for overall legal, compliance and secretarial functions of our Company. She has been associated with our Company since February 1, 2021 and was appointed as the Company Secretary from May 13, 2021 and as the Compliance Officer from January 18, 2022. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from M.L. Dahanukar College of Commerce, University of Mumbai and a bachelor’s degree in law from Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, University of Mumbai. She is also a qualified company secretary with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Prior to joining our Company, she was associated with FSN E-Commerce Ventures Private Limited as assistant manager - legal, Threpsi Solutions Private Limited as an assistant manager, Mail Order Solutions Private Limited as an executive - legal, Micro Housing Finance Corporation Limited as an executive - legal and Shah and Associates, Company Secretaries as an executive assistant. In Fiscal 2021, she was paid a remuneration of ₹0.21 million by our Company.

Shashwat Singh

Chief Information Officer

Shashwat Singh is the Chief Information Officer of our Company. He has been associated with our Company since May 14, 2021. He is responsible for information technology initiatives and strategy of our Company. He holds a bachelor's degree in information and communication technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Prior to joining our Company, he was associated with Hindustan Unilever Limited as the information technology lead – supply chain, South Asia, Kimberly-Clark India Private Limited as the technology lead, Asian Paints Limited as a senior manager - systems and Infosys Technologies Limited as an associate consultant – enterprise solutions. No remuneration was paid to him during Fiscal 2021 as he joined our Company in Fiscal 2022.

Sameer Ashok Mehta

Executive Director

Sameer Ashok Mehta is the Executive Director of our Company. He is one of the Founders and Promoters of our Company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Mumbai. He has experience in technology, product research and development. He also co-founded Redwood Interactive which owned ‘RedGear’, a gaming brand in India.

Aman Gupta

Chief Marketing Officer

Aman Gupta is an Executive Director of our Company. He is also the Chief Marketing Officer of our Company and heads the marketing department for all brands in our Company’s portfolio. He is one of the founders and Promoters of our Company. He holds a post-graduate degree in management from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and is a qualified chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He was associated with KPMG India Private Limited as an assistant manager, Harman International India Private Limited as senior manager – lifestyle, home and multimedia and Citicorp Finance India Limited. He is a recipient of the Economic Times and BW Business World’s 40 under 40 Awards, Internet and Mobile Association of India’s Super 30 CMO Honor Roll, as well as the Entrepreneur India’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 (For Product or Manufacturing Business – Consumer Durables) Award. He also serves as the chairman of Internet and Mobile Association of India - Direct to Customer Committee.

Shreekant Jayram Sawant

Company Secretary & Compliance Officer

Shreekant Jayram Sawant is the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of our Company. He is responsible for corporate secretarial functions of our Company. He has been associated with our Company since April 1, 2024 and has been appointed as the Company Secretary from April 11, 2024. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from B. K. Birla College of Arts, Science & Commerce, University of Mumbai and a bachelor’s degree in law from K.C. Law College, University of Mumbai. He is also a qualified company secretary with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
He has a rich experience of 12 years spread across in handling Initial Public Offering, compliances under insider trading, corporate social responsibility, mergers, amalgamations & acquisitions, setting up overseas subsidiaries, fund raise, issuance of financial instruments and implementation of compliance management tools.
Prior to joining our Company, he was associated with FSN E-Commerce Ventures Limited as Senior Manager (Governance, Regulatory & Compliance), IL&FS Townsip & Urban Assets Limited as Manager (Corporate Secretarial & Legal) and 3i Infotech Limited as a CS intern.

Gaurav Nayyar

Chief Executive Officer

Gaurav Nayyar is the Chief Executive Officer at boAt. He is responsible for scaling the Company and accelerating the operational performance. He leads Strategy, Operations, M&A, Business Transformation, Digital & Analytics and oversees multiple functions like Supply Chain, Product, Sales & Marketing, HR etc. Previously he was a partner at Bain & Company, where he led Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Performance Improvement practices. He was a key member of M&A and Strategy practices as well. He was also Global Head for Bain's Corporate Finance / Capital Markets CoE Bain.
Gaurav is a qualified Chartered Accountant and also holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce at the University of Delhi.
